Gunilla Svantorp is a County Council Commissioner and Vice President of the Executive Committee of The County Council of Värmland (Sweden). The County Council of Värmland is a directly elected body on regional level and since end 1980 it has been a member of the Assembly of European Regions (AER), the largest independent network of regions in the wider Europe. As one of the top political leaders within this organisation, Mrs Svantorp is responsible for all activities within the County Council, including the work within AER. She has also been invited as a speaker to many events, especially when it comes to issues related to health workers and gender equality. She holds a Master of Education with specialization in pedagogy. |
