A engineer by training, Mr Conrads worked for around ten years in show business in France, where it was important that people see his skills more than his disability. As a sales and marketing person for the ‘Guide du Chaisard’, he was able to seek out companies which wished to call on the skills of people with disabilities. This experience informed desire to create a professional recruitment platform, Wheelit.
Creator and CEO of Wheelit since 2009, Thierry Conrads has, since then,fought to give people with disabilities a springboard into employment and a greater visibility and bring together supply and demand.Wheelit.be is an online recruitment site which aims to highlight the skills of people with disabilities. It looks to facilitate the hiring of people thanks to a database with CVs and job offers and complete and specific information on hiring aid in the four regions and communities in Belgium.
